Frequently asked questions
Short answers to what we are asked most often.
Is this legal advice?
No. Catius Documents prepares the document from your details. We do not assess your case in law. To estimate your prospects, contact a lawyer.
How much does the odpor (objection) cost?
199 Kč including VAT, one-off, no subscription.
Can I file the odpor free of charge?
Yes. You can write the odpor yourself; no court fee is payable. Catius Documents is a paid, more convenient route, not an obligation.
When does my deadline start?
On the day of service, not on the printed date; for a datová schránka (data box) without a login, on the tenth day after delivery. Details on the page Deadline for the odpor.
Do I have to give reasons for the odpor?
No. An odpor cannot be rejected for lack of reasons. But we recommend not forgetting the deadline for the written statement under § 114b, if the court imposed one on you.
Can I dispute only part of the amount?
The odpor always cancels the whole order. You raise your objections to part of the claim in the written statement and at the hearing.
Can I send the odpor by e-mail?
Only with a recognised electronic signature. Without one, send the odpor by post, through a datová schránka, or file it at the court's filing office.
What happens if I do nothing?
The platební rozkaz (payment order) takes on the effect of a final judgment and the creditor can apply for enforcement.
Can I withdraw from my order?
As a consumer you generally have the right to withdraw from the contract. Details on the page Withdrawal from the contract.
