# A Vollstreckungsbescheid has arrived: what applies now

A Vollstreckungsbescheid follows when no Widerspruch was filed against the Mahnbescheid. It is a title that can already be enforced provisionally, but you can still fight it.

## How it differs from a Mahnbescheid

Unlike a Mahnbescheid, a Vollstreckungsbescheid is a title that already allows enforcement, for example freezing a bank account.

> **The same rule applies: your Einspruch, the objection to a Vollstreckungsbescheid, must be filed within two weeks of service of the Vollstreckungsbescheid, not from the date printed on it.**

## What an Einspruch achieves

A timely Einspruch, filed in the correct form, sends the case to the competent court, where it is heard on its merits.

## If the deadline has already passed

After the Einspruch deadline has passed, in narrow circumstances you may still be able to apply for reinstatement or file an action against enforcement. These are case by case questions that need a lawyer's advice.
