### How much does the Widerspruch cost?

**9 EUR** including VAT, one time, no subscription.

### Can I object for free instead?

Yes. The official form is enclosed with your Mahnbescheid, and you can also create a barcode form for free through the justice portal. Catius Documents is a paid, convenient option, not a requirement.

### When does my deadline start?

From the day the Mahnbescheid was served on you, not from the date printed on it. See [Mahnbescheid deadline](/de/en/mahnbescheid-frist/) for details.

### Can I object by email?

No. Filing by ordinary email is not legally valid. Allowed ways are by post, the enclosed form, or, for those represented by a lawyer, the special electronic mailbox for lawyers.

### What happens if I do nothing?

Without a response, a [Vollstreckungsbescheid](/de/en/vollstreckungsbescheid/) can follow, and enforcement is already possible on that basis.

### Can I cancel my order?
